5 reasons why your hair are suffering during hair drying. Don’t do this mistakes.

OMG….What can be be hard at hair drying process? EHM…Such a waste time…

BUT WAIT. Ensure yourself that you are doing these things right.

Women with short hair have it a lot easier to style their hair, even when it comes to drying it. They have no problem letting their hair air-dry without damaging it by vigorous blow-drying or towel rubbing. Of course, everything has its pros and cons. What are some mistakes to avoid with longer hair so you don't damage it and keep it looking beautiful?

These are the 5 most common mistakes we make when blow drying our hair, and we may think we're doing them right:

  1. You scrub your hair with a towel
  2. You blow-dry your hair with hot air
  3. You don't use pre-drying products
  4. You let thick long hair dry freely
  5. Sleeping with wet hair

1. You scrub your hair with a towel

Most women almost instinctively reach for a towel when they get out of the shower and literally scrub their entire head with it. Beware, this is a big mistake that will show in the beauty of your hair. The result of aggressive drying, of vigorously rubbing your hair with a towel to get it dry as quickly as possible, is fragile, frizzy hair that won't look nice and healthy even after it's dried.

Fine hair can also be easily split this way. It is best to gently dry your hair with cotton - for example, an old T-shirt - after getting out of the shower. Just press the absorbent fabric smoothly against the hair and suck out the excess moisture or gently squeeze it out. The hair will remain smooth, soft, untangled and, above all, undamaged.

2. You blow-dry your hair with hot air

Admit it, how many times have you used the hot air of a blow dryer to get your hair dry as soon as possible? It's logical when you're in a hurry to get somewhere, but it's damaging to both your hair and your scalp.

Intense hot air will break down the hair's protective coating, and it will become more brittle, less shiny, and more fragile. Similarly, the scalp can become dry and even burn. So, medium-warm air and a few extra minutes are preferable. Caution: Never hold the hairdryer all the way up to your head.

3. You don't use pre-drying products

Whether you let your hair dry naturally or blow-dry it, you shouldn't shy away from using styling products before it's dry.

For best results, rub a gel, mousse or other styling product into your hair after towel-drying it lightly and then gently style it, for example in a bun or braid, to achieve the desired effect. Then you just let it dry and style it into the desired style.

4. You let thick long hair dry freely

Often in similar cases, women visit a dermatologist because of increased dandruff formation, itching of the scalp and its peeling, scabs or red spots. This is due to imperfect drying.

If you don't dry your thick hair after washing, you are keeping the skin at the roots moist, and this is a great breeding ground for many microorganisms that can do damage to your skin. So always try to blow dry your hair, if it's very thick, at the roots blow with lukewarm air from the blow dryer, this will minimise further problems.

5. Sleeping with wet hair

It's nice to go to bed with clean-smelling hair, but it has a number of drawbacks. Besides the fact that sleeping with wet hair can be dangerous for the upper respiratory tract, we often toss and turn while we sleep, and our hair can get so tangled and messy that we have trouble combing it out in the morning. Beware, combing wet hair is not good either; it also leads to damage.

Do not sleep with wet hair.
